
Charles James Fraser
At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, the passing of Charles James Fraser, age 93, of Stratford, formerly of Montague, husband of the late Ruth (MacGregor) Fraser, occurred on Friday, January 11, 2013.
Born in Montague, November 11, 1919, he was the son of the late John E. and Florence Mae (Kennedy) Fraser. Charles was a councillor for the town of Montague and went on to become mayor of Montague, and was a former MLA Fourth Kings from 1974 to 1978.
He is survived by his children, John (Moira), Roy (Kelly), Donald (Melanie); sister, Mary Storey; grandchildren, Ewan Fraser, Neil Fraser, Rory Fraser, James Fraser, Elliott Fraser, Ellen Fraser and Erin Fraser; niece, Elizabeth Boehner; nephews, John Moar and Kenneth Moar.
Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a sister, Edna Moar.
Resting at Ferguson-Logan Montague Funeral Home with visiting hours on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the Hillcrest United Church, Montague, on Thursday, January 17, 2013, at 11 a.m. Interment to take place in the Community Park Cemetery.
