She is survived by sons Gayle Legault and Edward Legault (Patsy), Grandchildren- Duane and Carmen Hanson (Jayne and Arlis), Karson and Susan Legault, Cody and January Legault (Damon and Mckenna), Randy and Andrea Legault (Reed), Blair and Melica Legault (Gabriella and Nelson), and Ray and Glennis Gauvin (Connor, Zachary and Isabella) and sister Lucille Gard. She is predeceased by her husband Tommy (Rheal) in 2004. Diane was born February 24, 1918 at St. Anne, MB and later attended the little brick school house in Val Marie. Over the years she made her home in several communities. She was hired help back then for the Walt Larson and Dixon Ranches and the Trottier family where she'd help with the children and the cooking. Before she married, she worked at the Green Giant corn factory at Windsor, ON. She married Rheal Leslie Legault in 1941 at Val Marie. She worked as a rancher's wife and enjoyed duties such as baling in her younger years. She often told the story of delivering her first son, Edward in the Wallard post office and later on gave birth to Gayle in Edmonton while they lived nearby for work. After moving into Val Marie, she worked as an Avon Representative making many miles on her sales visits. She also worked many years at the Val Marie Hotel for Cliff Olson. I remember her advice to me that no matter how many long hours you've worked on your feet, you should always keep a smile on your face. We'd like to thank the ladies for putting on the lunch and to the folks at the Sand Lake colony and everyone else who brought food. Thanks to Ernie Lemieux for the arrangements, Father Franklin and everyone who helped here with the day. A special thanks to the women at the Prairie Villa in Mankota where she received their wonderful care for the past few years. Thanks so much to all you friends and family who traveled from near and far during this Christmas season to be here and to those who couldn't make it, their condolences across the miles mean so much. Thanks to Tony Andree and Theresa Laturnus for the readings. Clint Lamotte and Paul Lebel for the work at the cemetery. Also everyone else who helped out with all the flowers and cards and the Grassland Inn. We all love you Mom. Lemieux Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
