Cliff Boan of Moose Jaw passed away with his loving family by his side, into the hands of his Lord and Saviour on Saturday January 12, 2013. Cliff was born in Tugaske in 1933 and received his schooling at Red Lake and Peacock. He attended Teacher’s College in Moose Jaw in 1956-57 and received his Bachelor of Education in Saskatoon in 1965. He and Shirley were married in 1960 and they had two children, Darren and Susan. Cliff taught school at Expanse, Valley View, Laura Secord, Clay Hill, Peacock, Mazenod, Mossbank, Esterhazy, and Brownlee, retiring from Rockglen in 1989. Predeceased by his parents, Ronald and Tina; sister Hazel, and brother-in-law Lee; Cliff is survived by his wife Shirley; son Darren (Nicole), daughter Susan (Jason), two grandchildren Dallas and Elizabeth; brother Earl (Edna), and sister Jessie; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The Funeral Service will be held at the First Baptist Church, 1010 Main St. N., on Thursday January 17, 2013 at 2:00 pm. Pastor Adam Driscoll will officiate. Private Family interment will take place at Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations for Leukemia Research, c/o the Canadian Cancer Society, 61 Ross St.W., Moose Jaw, S6H 2M2, would be appreciated.
