At the Kings County Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, the death occurred of Helen Mae Young (nee MacKinnon), age 76 years.
Born March 11, 1936, in Montague, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Hannah MacKinnon. Loving mother of Mona Young (Lloyd Bruce), Ernest (Carole) Young, Beverley (Kevin) Stewart, Joan O'Brien (Paul Robichaud), and June (Terry) Bishop. Cherished grandmother of Christopher (Jennifer), Cory (Stephanie), Natasha (Tyler), Tracy, Derek, Morgan, Samantha, Jessica, Ashley, Amber, Alana (Blake), Aaron; and great-grandmother of Brayden, Bentley, Braxton, Riley, Damian, MacKenzie, Spencer and Quintyn. Dear sister of John MacKinnon, Peter (Lois) MacKinnon, Beryl (Alvin) Singleton and Nadine (Sterling) Crossman.
Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Edward; great-grandson, Connor; son-in-law, George; and sister-in-law, Ethel.
Resting at Ferguson-Logan Montague Funeral Home where visiting will be held Friday, January 18, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will take place in the Murray River Cemetery.
