WENDY CHASE

Born: February 8th, 1946

Passed on: January 21st, 2013

On January 21, 2013, Wendy left us to re-join her husband, Jim, in the Kingdom of Heaven, after she passed away peacefully in the care of family and friends at the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice Home.

Wendy Jacqueline Chase (nee Mansbridge) was born in the county of Middlesex, England on February 8, 1946. After being trained as a schoolteacher, she decided to try a new adventure, and moved to Canada to begin her teaching career in 1971. Soon thereafter, Wendy met the Canadian man who convinced her to stay in Canada, whom she would marry in 1973, and raise a family with in Barnhartvale, until Jim's passing in April of 2007.

After leaving teaching for several years to stay at home and raise her three children, Wendy returned to teaching in 1988 (Beattie, Heffley Creek, RLC) retiring from Robert L. Clemitson Elementary in 2008.

Wendy's passions were many she loved to share her singing voice and did so through her church community and the Kamloops Choristers choir. Her cherished memories are of going for stomps in the back 40, family trips, camping, and spending time with loved ones and good friends. No crossword was safe in her path.

She will be joyfully remembered by her three children Jamie (Dina) of Kamloops, BC; Kari (Matt) of West Mersea, England; and Stuart (Kate) of Vancouver, BC; her five grandchildren; her brothers Robert (Sally) and David; sister Penny, and many close friends and extended family.

The Celebration of Wendy's life will be held on Friday, January 25th, 2013 at St. Paul's Cathedral, 360 Nicola St, at 3.00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kamloops Hospice Association in Wendy's memory.
