LEBLANC, STANIS “STAN” - 1924 - 2013 - Stanis LeBlanc, 88, of Dieppe, NB, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer, on Thursday, January 24th, 2013 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center. Born in Beaumont, NB, he was the son of the late Fidèle and the late Emma (née: Bourque) LeBlanc. Mr. LeBlanc retired from Armour Transport having previously worked at City Chrysler Plymouth. He was a member of Club d’Âge d’Or de Dieppe, Pré-d’En-Haut and Sainte-Thérèse Parish. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Hélène (née: Bourgeois) of Dieppe; three sons: Lionel (Joanne) of Dieppe, Raymond (Phyllis) of Pré-d’En-Haut and Clarence of Dieppe; three grandchildren: Patrick, Nathalie and Justin, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers: Ernest, Irenée and Robert.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and also Monday from 9:30 am until time of departure. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Sainte-Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, NB, on Monday, January 28th, 2013 at 10:30 am. Interment in Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB. A donation to the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital Foundation “Oncology” would be appreciated by the family.
