Honorary pallbearers were all that knew Adolph. He was predeceased by: Barbro and Olaf Sagadahl; Sister- Clara; Grandson- Mitchell McCrystal. Adolph was born February 19th, 1933, in the Swift Current Union Hospital. He attended the Buena Vista School in 1939. The family farm was three miles from the school, so he usually used his trusted horse "Captain" as his transportation. He took his grade 9 in Beatty school in Swift Current and then left school to work on a seismic crew near Yorkton, SK. From there he worked on a number of drilling rigs throughout Alberta. In 1953 he moved back home to the family farm where he remained until his retirement. He loved farming and antiquing and spent many hours on the road looking for and purchasing antiques; and he had many. He also restored old gas pumps over the years and they were the topic of many conversations. Once Adolph retired and moved to Swift Current he took up gardening, flowers were his specialty. Adolph filled big spaces in all his family's lives. He was a quiet, kind and considerate man. He was so proud of his children and their accomplishments. He loved and cherished each of his grandchildren and great grandchild and was able to make special memories with all of them before the debilitating disease of dementia took those memories away from him. Dad, Grandpa, Great Grandpa you will be truly missed. Donations can be made to the Prairie Pioneer Lodge Auxilliary. Even after moving to Swift Current Dad would drive to the farm, sometimes daily just to stay connected with "home". Dad didn't find it easy to express in words his love for his family but his actions spoke louder than any word could. From his ritual of scraping his daughter's car windows on cold winter mornings to quiet conversations where he shared his wisdom not one of us could say that we didn't feel his love. "Dad was not only a gentleman but was a "gentle man". Warren's Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
