Anne Markowsky
1919 – 2013

On Wednesday, January 30, 2013, surrounded by the love of her family , Anne passed away peacefully in St. Paul’s Hospital Palliative Care Unit. “Baba”, “Mom”,"Auntie" Markowsky was loved by everyone she met. She lived a long, eventful life to the fullest extent. Everyone will miss her advice, reasoning, stubbornness, and most of all her cooking. She was predeceased by her loving husband, William (Bill) Markowsky; daughter, Patricia Markowsky-Nahaylo; and by her brothers and sisters, Nestor, Pearl, Nick, Peter, Orest and Isabelle. Anne is lovingly survived by daughters, Gloria Markowsky and Lesia (Alan) Dickson; grandchildren, Maksym Nahaylo, Emma Nahaylo, and Thomsen Brown (Markowsky); and by her loving sisters and brother, Eva, Alice, Virginia, and Leonard. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Park Funeral Chapel, 311 Third Avenue North, Saskatoon, with Very Rev. Fr. Roman Kocur officiating.
