Marilyn MacLean (Campbell)

Born: January 30th, 1954

Passed on: February 2nd, 2013

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Marilyn Ann Campbell MacLean on February 2, 2013 at her home in Malagawatch.
Born on January 30, 1954, she was the daughter of Robert and Christine Campbell, Malagawatch.
She was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and special friend to many. Those who knew Marilyn were aware of her undying love for the Beatles, in particular, Paul McCartney. The only thing that she loved more was her grandchildren. Her family and grandchildren were her greatest blessings. Marilyn worked in the financial services industry with over 30 years of dedicated service and retired a year ago from Citifinancial. In her short retirement, she made the most of it by spending special time with her parents caring for them and valuable time spent with her grandchildren, never arriving for a visit without little surprises. Her dry sense of humor will be truly missed by all who knew her.
Marilyn is survived by her children, Ian (Wanda) MacLean, Queensville; Angie (Raymond) MacKenzie, Ottawa; and Beth MacLeod, Malagawatch; her grandchildren, Mitchell, Mya and Mason MacLean and Chloe and Samantha MacKenzie; her brothers, Bobby (Marion) Campbell, Blues Mills; and Lawrence (Linda) Campbell, Orangedale; her good friend and Beth’s father, Ernest MacLeod, Malagawatch; nieces, nephews and foster brothers, Kenny and Bernie Moore.
Marilyn was predeceased by her granddaughter, Abbey MacLean in infancy.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation for Marilyn will be held today, Wednesday, February 6 from 2-9 p.m. in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Whycocomagh. Funeral to be held on Thursday, February 7 at 11 a.m. in the River Denys Presbyterian church with Rev. Andrew MacDonald officiating. Burial will be in the Malagawatch Cemetery at a later date.
Donations in Marilyn’s memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the Malagawatch Cemetery Fund.
Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at www.haverstocks.com.
