Surrounded by his family, the death of Arthur Arsenault, beloved husband of Roma (Peters), of South Rustico, occurred peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home, Charlottetown, on Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at age 68.
Arthur was the loving father of Dean (Carla), Arlen (Dawn), Jennifer Phillips (Harold) and Steven (Selena); and Grampie of Emma; Hailey Mae and Austin. He is also survived by sisters and brothers, Camilla Arsenault, Allan (Jeannette), Estelle Gerritsen, Alyre (Mona) and Hilda MacDonald; and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
Arthur was predeceased by his parents, Augustine and Cecile (Gallant) Arsenault; step-father, Camille Gallant; brothers-in-law, Tony Gerritsen, Sam MacDonald and Ronnie Peters; and parents-in-law, Ferdie and Stella (Blanchard) Peters.
Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Friday, February 8, 2013, 6 to 9 p.m. The funeral will be held at St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church, South Rustico, on Monday, February 11, 2013 at 11 a.m. Interment will occur later in St. Augustine’s Cemetery. Due to severe allergies, please refrain from wearing scented products.
