Passed peacefully away after a lengthy illness on Wednesday, February 6, 2013, Douglas Rogers in his 86th year. Member of Lodge Tasker of the Masonic Order and member of Mazol Shrine. Predeceased by daughter Louise Puddester, 2004. Leaving to mourn with fond memories his loving wife Beatrice (nee Snelgrove); son Bruce (Jacquie); daughter Judy Wheeler (Bob); son-in-law Wayne Puddester; grandchildren: Wendy Hodder, Christopher Puddester, Gary Stockwood, Carla and Melissa Crotty, Christa and Dana Lester; fourteen great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law Bill Snelgrove (Evelyn) and Gordon Snelgrove (Maude); sister-in-law Betty Leshane (Alec – deceased); also leaving the Jennings family: half-brothers Garland (Shirley), Melvin (Norma), George (Moni) and Bond (Florizel); half-sisters: Lorna (Reg) and Violet (Rod – deceased); also a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Special thank you to the wonderful and caring staff of 1 North, Hoyles Home for their compassion and care. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and then on Monday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Funeral service to be held from Barrett’s Chapel on Monday, February 11, 2013 at 2 p.m. A reception will follow the service at Barrett’s Funeral Home Reception Center.
