PAUL, TIMOTHY FRANCIS - December 24, 1951 - February 9, 2013 - It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Tim Paul, 61, from St. Mary’s First Nation. He was survived by his wife of 31 years, Shari, children Starla (JJ), Shayla (Jason), Andrew, Ian (Roseanne) and Sherry, 11 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, a Godchild (Faith Ann), several nephews, nieces, cousins and brother for life Tim Peterson, mother Elizabeth (Wisemen) Brewer, brothers William (Katie) Rocky, sisters Jan (Bill), Vicki (John). Predeceased by his father, Eugene Paul, sisters Beverly, Eunice, brothers Eric and Philip. Tim was the Executive Director of the Maliseet Nation Conservation Council, Founder of the Maliseet Radio Station CKTP, served in the US Army and was a strong advocate for First Nation fishing hunting and forestry. Tim was passionate towards fiddle heading and for his Wolastoq culture.
He will be resting at Bishops Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road Fredericton on Monday and Tuesday, with visitation Monday 3 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and on Tuesday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. With funeral service on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at the St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church at 11 AM with Father Monte Peters officiating. Following will be reception at St. Mary’s First Nation. Interment will be conducted at a later date. Donations can be made to the Oncology Department at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital.
