CHENARD - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Yvonne Marie Chenard on Friday, January 1, 2010 in Swift Current, SK at the age of 84 years. Yvonne was born on the family farm in Frenchville, SK on April 8, 1925 and attended Beauchamp School. Yvonne married Emile Chenard on October 23, 1945 at Our Lady of Confidence Catholic Church in Cadillac, SK. She was an active homemaker who loved to sew, cook and bake. She also loved to camp when they had their 5th wheel camper. She valued her friends and liked to play cards and tile rummy. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and was proud of their accomplishments. She enjoyed watching T.V., The Price Is Right, Jeopardy, and Wheel Of Fortune were some of her favorite programs. She also enjoyed attending church and was a lady of great faith. She always stressed the importance of getting along and keeping the family together. She will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her. Yvonne leaves to mourn her passing: her children Marguerite (Denis) Cloutier, Yolande (Gordon) Poppy, Claudette (Ron) Sinclair, Denis (Nancy) Chenard, Gisele (Calvin) Gader, Roland (Angie) Chenard, Andre (Tammy) Chenard; her grandchildren Mark (Sari) Cloutier, Micheline (Bob) Pusch, Cory (Nicole) Poppy, Jamie (Jen) Poppy, Stefan (Jaime) Cloutier, Renae Sinclair, Chantal, Michelle and Charmaine Chenard, Jarrod (Amber) Gader, Garnet (Teagan) Gader, Jolene Gader (Brant Moen), Kaylee Chenard (Brent Pinel), Darcy, Dallas and Kaitlyn Chenard, Kristi (Charlie Purcell) Pitts, Jesse (Teela) Pitts, Dusty Lee Chenard, Tommy (Colleen) Chenard, Karen Chenard and David Chenard; great grandchildren Ridge, Blake, Jesaline, Reagan, Rhett, Kaden, Jaxon, Brett, Kelsey, Cole, Anthony Purcell, Landon, Brennan, Christie, Charlie and Halle; half sisters Therese Meecham and Jeanne (Fernand) Cyrenne. She was predeceased by her parents Jean Francois and Angelique Entem; her husband Emile Chenard; son Marcel Chenard; and one grandson Darrel Cloutier missing in the Bahamas; brothers Jean, Marcel, and Andre Entem; sisters Sr. Marie Louise Legalle, Sr. Eva Entem and Marie Thibault. Prayer service was held on Monday, January 4, 2010 at 7:30 PM and the funeral mass was held Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at 2:00 PM from Our Lady of Confidence Roman Catholic Church, Cadillac, SK with Father Raymond Carignan officiating. The organist was Marlene Jones, a guitar and vocal duet was performed by Micheline Pusch and Mark Cloutier, eulogist was Cory Poppy and the usher was Roger Entem. Pallbearers were Stefan Cloutier, Mark Cloutier, Jamie Poppy, Jarrod Gader, Dusty Lee Chenard, and Dallas Chenard. Interment service followed at Cadillac Community Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Cadillac Community Hall or to a charity of one's choosing. Lemieux Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
