Passed peacefully away at the Hoyles Escasoni Home on February 16, 2013. Laura is predeceased by her husband Walter (1984). She is the last of the Lee family siblings, having been predeceased by her parents: George and Rachel and her siblings, sisters: Ruth, Lydia, Edith, Clara; brothers: Jack, Tom, Clyde, Charles, Cyril, George and Doug. Mourning her loss, but celebrating the long life of their humble, loving mother are her children: daughter Kathryn (Doug) Sellars; sons: Derrick (Christine) and Robert (Maureen); grandson Douglas Sellars; granddaughters: Kristen, Terada, Hahne and Sophia Hefferton, Lesley, Jill and Robyn (Hauck) Hefferton and their mother Elaine Brown; great-grandchildren: Samuel, Julien, Helaina, Dexter and many other relatives and friends. The family wishes to express thanks to the staff of both Hillcrest Estates and Hoyles Escasoni for their care and compassion as well as family friend Mara Noftall for always being there. Laura will be resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, with visitation on Monday, February 18, 2013 from 2 - 4 p.m. & 7 - 9 p.m. and Tuesday, February 19, 2013 from 2 - 4 p.m. & 7 - 4 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Carnell Memorial Chapel.
