Passed away suddenly at her home in Colliers on Thursday, February 21st, 2013, Catherine (Kay) Gushue, age 69 years. Predeceased by her husband Jack (2008), her parents Caroline and Thomas Cole, brothers John and Neil Cole, sister-in-law Patricia Cole, brother-in-law Bill Cantwell, father and mother-in-law George and Sarah Gushue, brother-in-law George Gushue, sisters-in-law Josephine Lewis, Agnes Humby, Mary Escott and Noreen Hickey. Leaving to mourn her sad loss are her children: John (Kim) Colliers, Caroline Lane (Rich) Holyrood, and Georgina Collantes (Alex) Calgary, AB; her beloved grandchildren: Jeff and Jordan Gushue, Avery, Anson and Gwyneth Collantes, and Jackson Lane; her brothers: Nick (Donna), and Tom (Alice); sisters: Ann Cantwell, Theresa Brewin (Eric), Helen Poisson (Eve) and sister-in-law Marie Cole; brothers-in-law: Dick Gushue (Maude), Francis Gushue (Sheila), Patrick Gushue (Laura), Len Gushue (Ann Marie), Bill Gushue (Mary), Gord Gushue (Kelly); sisters-in-law: Rose Sparkes (Rod), Sarah Fitzpatrick (Leo), Catherine Conway (Junior), Alice Claremont (Fred), and Madeline Lewis, as well as large number of extended family and friends. Kay will be sadly missed by her friends and bingo buddies Audrey Whelan and Geraldine McGrath, as well as her friends Rose Phillips, Daphne Cole and Aggie Murphy. Resting at Conway’s Funeral Home, Conception Harbour with visitation on Saturday, February 23rd from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. and Sunday, February 24th from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, February 25th, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. from Immaculate Conception Church, Colliers.
