Passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care Unit on February 23, 2013, Linda Marie Harty (nee Stickland), age 56. Predeceased by her mother Betty Stickland. Left to mourn: her loving husband Claude; precious daughter, the love and joy of her life, Caitlin Tara; father Sam Stickland; sister Sheila (Sheri McConnell); brother David and his daughter Delphine; all her loving aunts, uncles, and cousins; a large circle of Claude’s loving sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, and their families; and numerous friends. Visitation will take place at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl from 7 - 9 p.m. on Monday, and from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. on Tuesday. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at St. Peter’s Parish. Special thanks to all her friends and colleagues at Newfoundland Power, where Linda worked for the past 36 years; and staff at both Dr H Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre and Palliative Care.
