It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of John Leslie Hawboldt, age 51, of Green Hill, following a snowmobile accident on Friday, February 22, 2013.

Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of Margaret “Peggy” (Cameron) Hawboldt , Scotsburn and the late John J. Hawboldt.

John worked in the forestry industry. An avid outdoors man, John liked camping, boating, scuba diving and snowmobiling. John had a dry wit, and enjoyed being with his friends and family.

Along with his mother, John will be sadly missed by his wife Christina (Quann); daughters, Lesley Kearley (Rickey) and Hilary Hawboldt; sisters, Esther Trail (Pat), Scotsburn; Patricia Irving (Ronnie)Scotsburn; Janine Watson (David), Ont.; brother Jason Hawboldt (Selena) Scotsburn; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and his pride and joy, grand-daughter Shelby Marie Kearley

Cremation will take place. The family will receive visitors on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. There will be no funeral service. Burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made the N.S. Alzheimer’s Society. www.eaglesfuneralhome.ca
