Steve passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 25, 2013 at his home in Moose Jaw with his son John, by his side. Steve, at the age of 94 was predeceased by his wife Eleanor in 1991. He is survived by his daughter Judy Sandercock (Keith) of North Vancouver, his son John Adamache of Moose Jaw, by his granddaughters Karen Sandercock of Toronto and Holly Sandercock of North Vancouver, and by great-grandson Brandon also of North Vancouver. Steve was born on the family farm near Limerick, SK to Radu and Elinca Adamache on May 30, 1918. He grew up attending the Lakenheath Country School and he met Eleanor Staseson on a neighbouring farm in the district. Following their marriage, the couple began farming together. In the early 1950’s, they made the decision to winter in Moose Jaw so that their children could attend school and where they could be closer to church. Steve and Eleanor continued farming for the next 65 years. Steve was a sports enthusiast and as such enjoyed baseball and boxing, and in later years he became a very proficient curler. He will be remembered for his steadfast character, for his kind and generous heart, and for his loving spirit. A service will be held at Parkview Funeral Chapel on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at 2:00 p.m., with Reverend Bob Langdon officiating. Blair & Kelly Scott, Funeral Directors. (306) 694-5500.
