WILLIAMS, DEAN RUSSELL - It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Dean Russell Williams which occurred unexpectedly at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday, February 26, 2013. Born 1961 in Saint John, he was the son of the late Ally Haines, Paul and Eleanor (Cannon) Williams. Dean worked as a mechanic for many years. He was part of the Valley Cruisers Car Club and loved them Chevy’s. Dean was known and well respected in the racing circuit. Dean will be greatly missed by his wife of 32 years Ruby (Leblanc) of Saint John; sons Jasen Renouf, Steven Renouf, and Scott Williams all of the Saint John area; brothers Leigh Haines (Bonnie) of Vancouver, BC, Mike Haines (Cindy) of Stickney, NB; sisters Cindy Williams (Craig Lockhart) of Browns Flat, Sabrina Knox (Bruce) of Lower Greenwich, Rose Doyle (Brad) of Smithtown, grandchildren Drake, Killey, Justice, Skyler, Nathan Dean; as well as several nieces, nephews and many friends. Besides his parents, Dean was predeceased by his grandparents Stanley and Mabel Cannon and Opal Haines.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Per Dean’s request, there will be no visitation. Following cremation, a Celebration of Life will be held at Latimore Lake Community Center, 615 Latimore Lake Road, on Saturday, March 2nd from 2 to 5 p.m., casual attire is requested.
