At the Kings County Memorial Hospital on February 27, 2013, the death occurred of Dave Collins of Georgetown, age 71 years.
Born May 4, 1941, in Newfoundland, he was the son of the late Patrick and Isabel Collins. Survived by his loving wife, Josephine (nee Greene); daughters, Pamela Rideout, Laurie Lynn Parrotte (Rich), and Beverly Collins; sons, David Collins and Sean Collins; grandchildren, Jake, Matt, Jake and Joshua; nine siblings, numerous nieces and nephews and “special little angel” Emalee. Aside from his parents he was predeceased by brothers, George and Vince, and sister, Bertha.
Dave loved mackerel fishing in Georgetown, where he was known by many to spend countless hours on the docks.
Dave is resting at Ferguson-Logan Montague Funeral Home where visiting will be held Friday, March 1, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at a later date in the St. James Parish Cemetery, Georgetown.
