April 12th, 1923 - March 1st, 2013. Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, with courage and faith, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by husband Bronson in January 1997, mother and father Gordon and Eliza, and sister Josephine. She leaves to celebrate her long and wonderful life, two sons: Gordon (Eileen) and Robert (Sharon); brother Lloyd (Ontario); sisters: Agnes (St. John's) and Louise (Ontario). Also survived by four grandchildren: Gordon, Alison, Robert and Karla, as well as five great-grandchildren and many other family and friends. Helen was a graduate of the General Hospital School of Nursing, and enjoyed many occasions with her colleagues. She cherished her time in Topsail and her love will follow us forever. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 1045 Topsail Road, Mount Pearl with visitation on Saturday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral to take place from Topsail United Church on Monday, March 4th at 2:00 p.m. Donations in Helen’s memory may be made to the Janeway Children's Hospital.
