McALLISTER, GEORGE ZEBLAND - The passing of George Zebland McAllister of Fredericton, NB occurred on Sunday, March 3rd, 2013 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. He was 75. Born in Minto NB, the son of the late Walter and Arleen (Shirley) McAllister. George worked as a General Building Contractor all his life (1965-2002) having been President of MRB Contractors, Chairman of New Home Warranty, President of the Home Builders Association, past President of the Kinsmen Club and member of the City Club in Fredericton. Survived by his wife Juanita (Billings) McAllister, one son Peter McAllister (Susan) of Fredericton, one daughter Ann McAllister of Upper Kingsclear, two sisters Martha Chase of Minto NB, Arleen Crawford (Ron) of Fredericton, two grandchildren Melissa Ierullo (Domenic) of Ontario, Michael McAllister of Fredericton, one step grandson Justin Theriault, as well as several nieces and nephews, and a special family friend Sally Hirst.
Resting at Bishops Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road Fredericton, where visitation will take place on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, March 7th 2013 at 11 AM from Bishops Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Canon John Cathcart officiating. Interment will take place in the Forest Hill Cemetery in the spring. Pallbearers for the service will be Eric Carr, John Lejeune, Art Vezina, Mike McAllister, Domenic Ierullo and Bob Jardine.
