CLARK, Donald Eugene “Donnie” - 57, Berwick, Kings Co., passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 2, 2013, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Middleton, he was a son of Hazel (Mitchell) Parker, Berwick, and the late Archie Clark. Donnie was a member of the Aylesford Baptist Church for almost 20 years. He had been employed by the Town of Berwick Public Works for many years and for the past two seasons with the ACA Cooperative. Besides his mother he is survived by his wife of 28 years, Joan E. (Andrews) Clark, Berwick; step-mother, D. Evangeline “Vangie” Clark, Evergreen Home For Special Care, Kentville; brothers, Bruce (Doris), Berwick; John (Deirdre), Aylesford; sister, Annie (Arnold) Lohnes, Auburn; half-brothers, Newman (Annette) Parker, Mount Uniacke; Cecil Kenneth Parker; half-sisters, Heather (Roland) Hannifan; Cecilia (Troy) Shearer; Elnora (Gideon) Stevenson, all of Kentville; step-sister, Phyllis Smeltzer, Aylesford; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his father, he was predeceased by sister, Florence Lutz; step-sister, Barbara Hull; uncle, Norm Clark; nephew and fishing buddy, Darryl Andrews. Arrangements have been entrusted to Bryce Johnstone of DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service (902-538-8317). There was no visitation. Funeral service took place at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 5, in the Aylesford Baptist Church, 2543 Hwy No. 1, Aylesford. Rev. Clyde Lowe and other clergy officiated. A reception followed in the church hall. Interment will take place at a later date.
