Passed peacefully away on March 10, 2013 after a short illness, Augustus “Gus” Noseworthy, of Portugal Cove, age 93 years. Predeceased by his wife Evelyn; son Anthony and daughter Doreen. Leaving to mourn with cherished memories his daughter, Ethel Gladney (Frank); son, Joseph (Nancy); daughter-in-law, Judy Gladney; sister, Effie Garner; brothers-in-law: Fred Churchill (Sadie) and Nelson LeGrow; sister-in-law, Phyllis Somerton; grandsons: Gus Hammond (Melanie) and Ronnie Mason; granddaughters: Debra Hammond and Niki Coursey (Scott); great-grandchildren: Morgan and Thomas Hammond; special nieces: Mary and Amy Shrock; other nieces and nephews as well as a large circle of family and friends including his pets whom he loved dearly: Snowflake, Daisy, Kissi and Martin. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 p.m.and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Memorial United Church, Portugal Cove, on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow in the United Cemetery, Bauline Line,Portugal Cove.
