Theresa Johnson, 51 of Halifax, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at the QE II Hospital, Halifax.
Born in Guysborough, N.S., she was the daughter of the late Mary Caroline Brooks, Eskasoni.
At an early age Theresa was moved from Guysborough to Halifax where she lived happily for many years with friends and caregivers in her group home.
She is survived by sisters, Ruby and Sharon and brother, George, all of Guysborough and by aunt, Marcella (Peter), Eskasoni; uncles, John, Eskasoni and Richard of Sydney and by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her sister, Marguerite in 2011.
Visitation for Theresa Johnson will begin today (Thursday) after 7 p.m. at the Gabriel Center, Eskasoni. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 16 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Church with Rev. Martin MacDougall officiating. Interment in Holy Family Parish Cemetery, Eskasoni.
