Born: June 16th, 1922

Passed on: February 10th, 2013

Chester Ireland Forseth passed away peacefully on
February 10th, 2013 at 9:00 am at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Grande Prairie due to a brain aneurism. He was 90 years old.
Chester was born in Sexsmith, Alberta, on June 16th, 1922 to Peder and Margit Forseth. He was the first of nine children. Chester and his wife Nettie (Lyste) were married in the old log church in Cherry Point in 1942.
After renting Chester’s Uncle Alfred Leland’s farm in the Buffalo Lake’s area, they moved to Abbotsford, BC. Then for 16 years they settled in Surrey, where Chester did carpentry work and 6 of their children spent most of their childhood; some growing up there. Chester and Nettie then moved to Cherry Point Alberta with their two youngest sons (Darrol and David) where they have lived for 40 years.
Chester loved to sing and play guitar at an early age. We all have fond memories of times spent together singing and playing instruments. It has definitely been one of the ties that has bound our family together and made us strong.
Chester and Nettie would go on weekend camping trips with their family. He also enjoyed going with his family and friends hunting, fishing, and quading.
Chester made a decision to serve Jesus Christ at an early age, and along with his wife Nettie worked in a Sunday School ministry for kids for many years.
Chester had a great sense of humour and was a kind and gentle man, spreading sunshine along life’s journey.
Chester and Nettie have five boys - Wayne, Elroy, Larry, Darrol, and David and one daughter, Arlette. Chester was predeceased by his sisters Cora Forsberg,
Agnes Olderskog, and his parents. He will be fondly remembered by his brothers and sisters, Armond, Carol, Robert, Pauline, Lillian, Dennis and also by his 17 grandchildren and over 20 great-grandchildren.
Your wife and family will miss you very much and appreciate the love and guidance that you have given us over the years. You will always be in our hearts.
Arrangements were entrusted to Bergeron Funeral Services & Crematorium Ltd.
