William Theodore “Wickie” Power, Westville, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Glen Haven Manor in his 82nd year.
He was the son of the late Joseph and Violet (Delaney) Power, Stellarton.
He was a former employee of Trenton Works and Chignecto Central Regional School Board, from where he retired. He was a devoted family man who loved the outdoors, fishing, and a good game of cards.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mildred (Cyr) Power; sons John and Michael, Dartmouth; also grandchildren, Sara Richard (Stephen), Westville, and Ashley and Michael Power, Dartmouth; and a great-granddaughter Lauren. Also surviving are sisters Anne Marshall, New Glasgow and Phyllis Yorke, Westville; and daughter-in-law Marie Power, Westville.
He was predeceased by son Gary, a daughter in infancy; daughter-in-law Barb Power; sister Lillian Walker-Acker; and brothers Joseph and Robert.
There will be no visitation by request of the family. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday from The Church of the Holy Name, Westville with Father Gerald Campbell officiating.
Services are under the direction of Eagles Funeral Home, Westville.
