She is survived by her sisters, Charlotte, Suzanne; brothers, Dennis Googoo, Jerome Googoo, Patlik (Tayla), Kendrick, Dean, Dominque (Antigonish), Michael, all of Wagmatcook; godparents, Natalie Denny (Tim Chuck), Eskasoni, Matt Morris (Kayla), Halifax, Helen Bernard and Matt Collette both of Wagmatcook; grandparents, Florence Bernard (Wayne MacDougall), Sydney, Philip J. Charly was a member of Wagmatcook Blessed (Saint) Kateri Tekakwitha Church. With the little time she had with us Charly was deeply loved by her family and friends. She enjoyed her time with her siblings; even though she couldn't speak you can tell by her beautiful smile she always had. She also loved it when her father played the guitar and sang to her. Charly and mommy were hardly seen apart, and have been to many places, but her favourite place was always being home with her wonderful and loving family that cared for her so much.
She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her parents greatly appreciated all who visited her at home and during her stay in the hospital. They also appreciated all those who prayed for her.
Visitation for Charlene Catherine Lafford-Bernard ‘Charly’ will take start Saturday, March 16, 2013, 5 p.m. at her home, 62 Humes Rear Rd. (Pe-kla-nk).
