At the General Hospital, Hamilton, Ontario, on Tuesday, June 17, 2008, of John F. MacPherson, age 82, formerly of Launching. Beloved husband of Marion (nee Langford). Loving father of Bill (Karen), Catherine (Larry), Gerald (Trevelyan), Heather (Darren) and Janice. Also survived by nine grandchildren. Dear brother to Joseph (Lorraine) of Burlington, Ontario; Sister Sally CND, Magdalene (MacDonald), and George (Noreen), all of P.E.I. Predeceased by his brothers, Donald and Gerald; parents, George and Catherine. John was a veteran of the Second World War, having served in the Royal Canadian Navy. The family will honour John’s life with a mass on Monday, June 23, 2008, at 1 p.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, Hamilton. Cremation has taken place and a memorial will be held at a later date in St. Georges, P.E.I.
