BARTON, NORMAN RUSSELL - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Norman Russell Barton of Minto NB who died suddenly at home on Monday, March 25, 2013. Born in Minto NB, he was the son of the late Claude and Effie (Hardon) Barton and the husband of the late Rita (Voutour) Barton. Survived by six sons, Norman Jr. (Betty Ann) of West Bank, BC, Calvin of Minto, Murray (Priscilla) of Lakeville, Corner, Tommy (Sharon) of Minto, Danny (Theresa) of Noonan and Terry (Janet) of Lakeville, Corner; five daughters, Carol Campbell (Harold) Gloria Sypher (Allen), Linda Barton (Carey), Debbie Wilson (Gary) all of Minto and Susan Skytte (Craig) of South Carolina; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; two sisters, Pearl Hoyt (Thomas) and Ethel Carr (Stewart); one brother, Ron Barton and special friend Carol Murphy. He was predeceased by his parents; wife, Rita; one brother George.
Visitation will be held at Hogg Funeral Services (King Street, Minto, NB) on Monday, April 1st, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. The funeral service will be held at Minto Community Chapel on Tuesday, April 2nd, at 2:00 pm. Rev. Philip Crossman will officiate. Interment will be in the United Baptist Church Cemetery.
