It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elsie “Florence” Anstey announce her passing on Friday, March 29, 2013 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 93 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Ivy (Austin) Fudge, Earl (Connie) Anstey, Rosemarie (Lew) Anderson and Jim (Cathy) Anstey; grandchildren: Blair (Petrina), Taryn (Corie), Krista (Keith), Stephanie, Buffy, Scott and Karen; great-grandchildren: Nicholas, Mitchell, Brooklyn and Garret; sister-in-law Helen Anstey; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Fred Anstey. Parents Edith and William Bursey, brother John Bursey and sister Annie Bursey. A special thank-you to the doctors and nurses of 3B and the Palliative Care Unit of Western Memorial Regional Hospital. Cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium. Friends may visit Humber Valley United Church in Pasadena on Monday 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 2 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Tony Newell officiating. Interment to follow at the United Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of Western Memorial Regional Hospital.
