Norman Stuart Bruce

Surrounded by his loving family, Norman Bruce of South Lake, age 85, passed away on March 29, 2013, following a brief illness.
Norman is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Thelma (nee Dixon); children, Alan, Valerie (Bruce Beaton), Marlene (Gordon Perry), Blythe (Georgia Birt), Wade (Melanie MacIsaac), Mark (Denise MacLennan); 15 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Also survived by his sisters, Elma Dingwell, Elva Robertson and Sylvia MacLean (friend - Francis Rose); brothers, Kermit (Ruby Dixon) and Merton (Betty Ching); brother-in-law, Leland Dixon (Judy); sister-in-law, Marilyn Townshend; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Ray and Ida (nee Young); sister, Laura MacGregor; brothers, Walter and Emery; parents-in-law, Roy Dixon and Maud (nee Ching); sister-in-law, Gladys Holden; brothers-in-law, Kenny MacGregor, Norman Dixon, Callum MacLean and Bill Townshend; granddaughter, Marcia; and nephew, Bradford.
Resting at Dingwell Funeral Home in Souris, with visiting hours on Monday, April 1, 2013, from 4-7 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Kingsboro Baptist Church, Kingsboro, at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2013. Interment will take place in the Kingsboro Cemetery following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Kingsboro Baptist Church or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Prince Edward Island.
