Gérard “Gerry” LeBreton
LeBRETON, GÉRARD "GERRY" - Gérard “Gerry” LeBreton, 89, of Moncton, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2013 at the Dr.-Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital Centre following a lengthy illness. Born September 29, 1923 in Grande-Anse, he was the son of the late Robert and Élizabeth (Hachey) LeBreton. Prior to his retirement, Gerry was an instructor with NBCC Moncton Campus in Civil Engineering. He was a veteran of WWII, as well as a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 6468 4th degree, the Parkton Golden Age Club, and Université de Moncton 3ième âge. He is survived by his wife, Jennie (Roberts) LeBreton; two children: Paul (Nicole) and Louise (Chris) Surette all of Dieppe; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and step-children. He was the last survivor of his immediate family. He is predeceased by his first wife, Cécile née Pelletier; his second wife, Lena née Bourque; and a sister, Alphonsine.
The family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Visiting hours Thursday, April 4th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, and Friday, April 5th from 9:30 am until departure for Notre-Dame-de-Grâce R.C. Church, 854 Mountain Road, Moncton, from where the funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
