KENNY, DORIS - Doris Marion Kenny of Rothesay passed away peacefully on Monday, April 1, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital surrounded by her family. Born in 1932 in Tignish, PEI she was the daughter of the late James and Alice (Martin) Gallant. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by husband John Kenny and several brothers and sisters. Doris loved to bake for her family and decorate for every occasion. She will be sadly missed by her family. She is survived by her son Richard Kenny of Rothesay; daughter Colleen Nobles (Sean) of Saint John; close friend Claudine Gallien of Saint John; cherished grandchildren Jennifer Kenny (Jeff Creigton), Stephen Kenny (Jessica), Kara McCann (Jeff), Brent Nobles and Erin Nobles; great grandchildren Joshua Kenny, Spencer and Benjamin Kenny; sisters Helen Bonnell, Irene Cripps and Doreen McDonald all of Saint John; sisters-in-law Amelia Whiting of Ontario and Doris Gallant of PEI; several nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, visitations will be held from Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on Friday, April 5, 2013 at 11 a.m. For those who wish, donations in memory of Doris made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. www.fundyfuneralhome.com
