The death occurred peacefully at his residence in Kensington after a courageous battle with cancer on April 2, 2013, of John (Jack) MacCormack in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Elsie N. MacCormack (nee Draganac). Loving father of Wayne Bruce (Marietta) MacCormack and stepfather to Cheryl (Kevin) Hayes, Tom (Roberta) Merrick, Troy (Hilary) Merrick. Loving grandfather to Jean (David) Fortune and step-grandfather to Adam, Kristine (PJ), Rebecca Hayes and Matthew and Carly Merrick, and great-grandson Aiden. Predeceased by his parents Beatrice and Daniel Bruce McCormack, sister Sadie (Sally) Scrimgeour and brother-in-law Max Scrimgeour, brother James (Bomber) MacCormack and sister-in-law Edith MacCormack. Also remembered by many nieces and nephews. No visiting or funeral service by personal request. Cremation. John (Jack) retired as a Chief Warrant Officer after 30 years service in the navy and was a 30-year friend of Bill W.
