Lantz, Jeffrey “Jeff” Wade, 53, of Newport Station, Hants County, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at home. Born on November 5, 1959 at the Payzant Memorial Hospital in Windsor. He was the son of Vera and the late Wilbur Lantz. Jeff was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs and Blue Jays fan, he never missed watching them play. He enjoyed a good game of pool and he also enjoyed bowling. Jeff enjoyed watching his Don Cherry tapes and collecting hockey cards. Jeff’s favorite hockey player was Sidney Crosby. A favourite part of Jeff’s daily routine was walking to get the mail and stopping into Gibson’s store for a chat and a treat. Besides being missed by his family and friends, Jeff will also be missed by the family dog, Rudy. Surviving are his mother the former, Vera Riley; brother, Blaine, Newport Station; sisters, Heather (Bill) Caldwell, Three Mile Plains; Donna (William) Hemphill, Dartmouth; Cheryl (Bruce) Stewart, Cow Bay; Janet (Nick) MacDonald, Three Mile Plains; Valerie (William) McDougall, Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan; Judy (James) Hurshman, Rawdon; Lisa (Randy) Lantz, Falmouth; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father, Wilbur and sister, Cindy Lantz; brother, Dean Lantz. Cremation has taken place under the care of Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home (902-798-2232), 194 King Street, Windsor. Memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations in memory were requested to be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or any charity.
