Peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, on Saturday, April 6, 2013, of Garth McCarvill, of Charlottetown, age 69 years.
Beloved husband of Virginia (nee McCardle). Loving father of Andrea McCarvill and Jane Aiken (Chris). Loving Poppy to Rory and Meg Aiken. Fondly remembered by his sisters, Gerry Murphy (Joe) and Lorna Murphy (Herb, deceased) and brother, Eddie McCarvill (Irene). Garth’s loving McCardle in-laws are: Edward, deceased (Kay), Liz Stewart (Ken), Margaret Hedges (Gary), Wilfred, deceased (Myrtle), Johnny, deceased (Joyce), Patricia, Joe (Connie), Kevin (Marion), Clair and Bea Hartinger (Rick). Predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Elsie (Murphy) McCarvill.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home until Wednesday at 9:45 a.m., then to St. Pius X Church for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Palliative Care Association of P.E.I. or the Multiple Sclerosis Society (P.E.I.). St. Pius X Council 6917 of the Knights of Columbus will hold a prayer service at the funeral home Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. All brother knights welcome.
