It is with sadness but wonderful memories that we announce the passing of our mother, Carmella (MacIntyre) Morrison on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
She was born in Reserve Mines, daughter of the late Daniel and Elizabeth (Bryden) MacIntyre.
Carmella was a loving mother and grandmother; independent, strong willed and with a wonderful sense of humour, who enjoyed a good joke and a good time.
She is survived by children, Patricia (William) Ivimey, Bay Roberts, Nfld.; Neila (Colin) Lavers, Sydney; Dan (Ruth) Morrison, Lockeport, N.S.; Fern (Paul) Woolfrey, Corner Brook, Nfld.; grandchildren, Neil and Susan Ivimey, Ferne, Bryden and Jean Lavers, Bhreagh and Deirdre Morrison, Peter, Bronwyn, Charlotte, Neil and Ian Woolfrey and by several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Neil Joseph; siblings, Sr. Dorothea, Mary, Jimmy, Angus, Peter, Leo, William 'Jeweller', Bernie, Jack, Cecilia and Rita.
There will be no visitation. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 13 at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa's Church with Rev. Jim Oliver officiating. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery, Sydney Forks.
