Inglis Orville MacIntosh, age 92 of Dover Ave., New Glasgow, passed away on Wednesday, April 10th, 2013 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Westville, he was a son of the late Howard and Catherine (Cameron) MacIntosh.
Inglis was a resident of New Glasgow since 1946. During his working career Inglis “Mac” worked for Zellers for 34 years. A veteran, Inglis served overseas in Italy, France, Belgium and Africa with the Army Service Core. Inglis was a member of Br. #34 Royal Canadian Legion, New Glasgow. He was a member of Trinity United Church and a member of the Euclid Masonic Lodge #92.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews, grandnieces and nephews and great-grandnieces and nephews.
Inglis was predeceased by his wife the former Hester Campbell; brothers, Cecil and Clyde; sisters: Freda, Elva and Muriel.
The family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, 256 King Street, New Glasgow. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jim Shaffner officiating. Burial will be in the Abercrombie Cemetery.
