WILBUR, EDWARD D. - 1933 - 2013 - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Edward Douglas Wilbur. Ed went to be with his lord and saviour on April 10, 2013 with his daughter by his side. Born in New Brunswick, he was predeceased by his father Everett E. Wilbur (1988) and most recently his wife Doris E. Wilbur (2013) of 56 years. Ed would have celebrated in 80th birthday on May 8, 2013. He will be reunited with my mother in heaven where they can rejoice together. Ed is survived by his four children, Steve (Tammy) and Jeff (Sherri) of Moncton, NB, Andy and Cindy of Calgary, AB. Dad has grandchildren in Alberta and New Brunswick. He worked for Canadian National Railway for many years. Shortly after retirement, Ed and Doris moved to British Columbia. Ed enjoyed the adventures of traveling, specifically Hawaii and Israel. In Moncton he was involved with the Moncton Car Club and Horticultural Society and enjoyed photography. Dad have numerous friends in the Moncton as well as in Sidney and Saanichton, BC. He attended Friendship Community Church and was involved in the 50 plus group. An expression of appreciation to the staff of Saanich Peninsula Hospital Extended Care Unit 2 for their cared for our father.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Friendship Community Church 7820 Central Saanich Rd, Saanichton, BC V8M 1T7. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ed’s name can be forward to New Brunswick Bible Institute 2335 Route 103 Victoria Corner, NB E7P 1C7
