Passed away at the Bonne Bay Health Centre on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, Eunice (Unas) Whitrowe Sparkes at the age of 96 years, in the presence of his wife. Sadly missed by his loving and devoted wife of 71 years Ena (nee Payne), children: Sarah Samms, Geraldine (Maxwell) Rowsell, Mary (Pierce) Loder, Bernice (Gary) Clarke, Joyce Chaulk, Lillian (Archibald) Andrews, Winston (Dorreen) Sparkes, Milton (Betty) Sparkes, Wanda (Clyde) Snow, Wade (Christine) Sparkes, Alvin (Joy) Sparkes, Dwight (Stella) Sparkes. Also a large number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His siblings: Lloyd (Betty) Sparkes, Melvin Sparkes, Edna Durdle, and Brada (Joe) Parsons. His support workers Ashleigh, Cassidy and Alice Pittman. He was predeceased by his parents Ambrose & Martha (Duval) Sparkes, sons: Herbert and John, son-in-law Patrick Samms, brothers: Cecil, Augustus, Morgan, Russell, Alexander, Chesley, Eldon and Oscar, sister Sarah. Visitation will take place from St. Matthews Anglican Church in Rocky Harbour, Friday, April 12th, 2013, from where the funeral service will take place on Saturday, April 13th, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. with Major Wayne Pike officiating, burial to follow at the family plot of the Salvation Army Church cemetery in Rocky Harbour, NL.
