Passed peacefully away after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, April 11, 2013, Douglas (Dougie) Grouchy, age 58 years. Predeceased by his parents James and Louise Grouchy, father-in-law Edward Westcott, and brother-in-law Edward Westcott Jr. Leaving to mourn his wife Barbara; two daughters: Karen (Leonard Halleran) and Tracy (Robbie White); three precious grandchildren: Brandon, Kayla and Nicholas; four brothers: David (Ted), Frank (Liz), Randy (Donna) and Ted (Diane). Also special aunt Theresa Jackson and cousin Barbara Nixon (Graham); mother-in-law Lillian Westcott; in-laws: Mary (Paul), Carol, Geraldine (Blair), Jim (Linda), Gwen (Gordie), Regina (Ken) and Evelyn (Edward Jr.). Also leaving a large circle of cousins, nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Thursday from 7–9 p.m. and Friday from 10 am to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Funeral service 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2013 from Caul’s Chapel with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road. Flowers graciously accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Clinic or to a charity of one’s choice.
