Gerald "Gerry" Myers

MYERS, GERALD “GERRY” - 1929 - 2013 - Gerry Myers, 83, of Villa Providence, Shediac and formerly of Moncton, passed away on Sunday, April 14th, 2013 at his residence. Born in St-Antoine, he was the son of the late Thomas and the late Ida (née: Williams) Myers. Other than his family; Gerry had two passions in life, country music and woodworking. He was probably best known as a member of the Bunkhouse Boys. He was a member of Notre-Dame-de-Grâce parish. Gerry is survived by three daughters: Dale (Jack) Savoie of Moncton, Debbie (Brian) Myers-Hallsey of Augusta, ME and Shirley Myers (Rod Nicholson) of Nashville, TN; one sister, Dorothy “Dot” Myers of Moncton; two brothers: Len (Huberte) and Ernest (Sylvia) both of Moncton; one granddaughter, Céline (Garth) MacCallum, three great grandchildren: Seth, Nash and Bria, as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents; he was predeceased by his wife, Bernice (née: Cormier) in 2002; six sisters: Anita, Mabel, Emma, Florence, Dora and Loretta and also by six brothers: Clarence, Laurie, Vincent, Tony, Ronald and Leo.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, (857-1901) on Tuesday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and also on Wednesday from 9:30 am until time of departure. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Notre-Dame-de-Grâce Roman Catholic Church, Moncton on Wednesday, April 17th, 2013 at 11 am. Interment in Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe.
