LLOYD BILLARD
September 1, 1946 – April 12, 2013

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lloyd Billard announces his passing on Friday, April 12, at Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre at the age of 66 years. Born at Margaree, Lloyd was the son of the late Gabriel and Effie Billard. He was predeceased by his brother Richard Billard, sister Gloria Coleman, mother in law Alma Meade. Leaving to mourn with many fond and precious memories of a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather are his loving and devoted wife Gloria (nee Meade) of 44 years, sons Deon (Gesil) Billard, Darren (Tina) Billard all of Margaree; grandchildren: Lucas Carroll, Mitchell, Logan, Nickolas, Brooke. He will forever remain in the hearts of his sisters and brother: Millie Park (Herbert), Mary Carter (Alman), Betty Skinner (Fred), Julie Spencer (Hartley), Margaret Street (Joseph), Brenda Luedee (Wilfred), Pauline Baggs (Jim), Johnny Billard; father in law Eric Meade; brother in law Clifford Coleman all of Margaree and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and many, many friends. Lloyd was a very community minded individual, and over the years he helped so many people in whatever way he could. He was a very devoted family man, and the happiness of his family, friends, and neighbors was the most important thing in his life. His kind heart and gentle spirit will surely be missed by everyone who was fortunate to have had the opportunity to share in his life. Visitation took place on Saturday evening and continued on Sunday at St. Augustine's Anglican Church in Margaree. Funeral services took place on Monday, April 15, 2 p.m. at St. Augustine's Anglican Church officiated by Rev. Maryrose Colbourne, interment followed at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road.
