Peacefully, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, on Saturday, April 13, 2013, of Dorothy F. Tierney (nee McGinn) of Stratford and formerly of Emyvale, age 85 years.
Beloved wife of James Tierney. Dear mother of Karen Roche (Clarence), Michael (Ann), Paul (Sandra), Patsy Gauer (Rudy), Marilyn DiBenedetto (Gino) and Cindy. Grandmother of Tara, Craig, Jackie, Alex, Corey, Spencer, Duncan, Logan, Taryn, Luke, Carly and James. Great-grandmother of Aby, Jaxton, Olivia, Carson and Charlotte. Survived by brothers Leo (Isabelle) and Brendon (Joan), sisters Shirley McGinn, Patricia McInnis, Katherine MacCormac (Don) and Marian Meyers. Sister-in-law of Joyce McGinn.
Predeceased by her parents, Daniel and Agnes McGinn; son, Alan; brothers, Louis and Damien; sister, Rita; and brother-in-law, Russel McInnis.
Resting at Belvedere Funeral Home until Wednesday at 10:15 a.m. then to St. Anne’s Church, Emyvale, for funeral mass at 11 a.m. Interment in St. Anne’s Church Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
