FRENCH, LAURA - (1923 - 2013) - Mrs. Laura French of Castalia, Grand Manan Island passed away at the Fundy Nursing Home, Blacks Harbour, NB, Monday April 15, 2013 at the age of 90. Born at Monroe, NL she was the daughter of the late William and Selena (Luther) Goodyear. Laura is survived by two daughters, Doreen French of Edmonton, AB, Roxanna (Rev. Bruce) Cheney of Browns Flat, NB; one son Paul (Leah) French of Quispamsis, NB; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren; three sisters, Mildred Adams of NL, Martha Tremblett of ON and Phyllis Gosse of NL; Laura also had several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Leslie (Bud) Delbert French; two sisters, Irene and Blanche; and also three brothers, Victor, George and Jack.
The family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, April 17th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the North Head Wesleyan Church. The funeral will be held from the North Head Wesleyan Church on Thursday, April 18th, 2013 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Jasper Rideout officiating, interment to follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
