McCoombs; Blair Scott
It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of Blair McCoombs on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at University of Alberta Hospital, Edmonton, AB.
Blair was born in Liverpool, NS on July 7, 1963, the youngest son of the late Eugene and Shirley (Metzger) McCoombs.
After graduating high school in 1982 he attended Lunenburg Regional Community College graduating in 1983 in Shipping and Receiving.
Blair moved to Leduc, AB in 2006. In 2007 he was employed with HMS Host at the Edmonton International Airport as a warehouse employee. He later became Warehouse Supervisor. Blair enjoyed taking pictures, his electronics and gaming.
Blair is survived by his family: Brothers: Larry (Chrissy) McCoombs, Milton, Nova Scotia; Michael (Brenda) McCoombs, Hantsport, Nova Scotia; Tim (Diana) McCoombs, Leduc, Alberta, Nieces: Amanda McCoombs, Milton, Nova Scotia; Candace (Amos) Verlissant, Leduc, Alberta; Evangeline (daughter Zoey) McCoombs, Leduc, Alberta and Nephews: Michael McCoombs, Milton, N.S.; Jason McCoombs, Leduc, Alberta; Matthew (Candice) McCoombs, London, Ontario. He will also be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his work "family".
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Serenity Funeral Home, Leduc, Alberta. A memorial service was held Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Leduc Community Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Kerber officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canada.
