Passed peacefully away on April 19, 2013 at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, Jean Elizabeth Squires, aged 89 years. Predeceased by her husband, Bernard (1980); sister, Gertrude Thistle; and seven brothers. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories, her always caring and thoughtful nephews and nieces: Elizabeth Heatley (John), John Thistle (Sharon), Brian Thistle (Betty), Clarence Thistle (Bev), and especially Brenda Thistle (Ray Rowlands) and Jean Kean (Winston), who were always by her side at her time of need. Also leaving to mourn, sister-in-law, Charlotte Squires: and brothers-in-law: Victor Squires and Stephen Thistle; as well as other family, relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell’s Visitation and Reception Centre, 1045 Topsail Road, Mount Pearl, on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral service to take place from the Church of Ascension, Smallwood Drive, on Monday April, 22, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
