MILLS, CONSTANCE - Peacefully at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital on Saturday, April 20, 2013, Constance "Connie" A. Mills, of Dorchester passed away at the age of 82, with her family by her side. Born in Rockport, she was the daughter of the late Alma and Gladys Tower. An outgoing person who was happy to help in anyway, Connie volunteered with various community services and raised money for the Terry Fox Run and the Daffodil Campaign. She liked to read and enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up. She loved her family, friends and her animals. She will be sadly missed by four daughters, Patricia (Edward) Wilson, North Vancouver, Donna Dawson, Dorchester, Carol (Harvey) Saulnier, Dorchester, Paige (Jack) Irving, Dawson Settlement; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Connie was the last surviving member of her family. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Bill; brothers, Arnold and Vernon; and two half-brothers, Angus and Lebaron.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones Family at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St., Sackville (506-364-1300) where visiting hours will take place on Tuesday from 7 to 9 pm. Funeral services will take place at the Jones Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 2:00 pm. Burial to follow in Dorchester Rural Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in her memory may do so to the charity of their choice.
