GAUDET, JEANNE - Une étoile s’est éteinte - It is with sad hearts that the family of Jeanne Gaudet of Grand-Barachois, announces her passing on April 29th, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born May 2nd, 1926 in Robichaud-Office, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Rosanne Thibodeau. She worked at Paturel Seafood prior to her retirement. Besides her husband of 69 years, Ulric Gaudet, she is survived by her children: Bernard (Late Lina) Jeanne LeBlanc of Shediac, Jeannine (Karl Goguen) of Grand Lake, Louis-Joseph (Bernice) of Grand-Barachois, Denise of PEI and Rose of Moncton; a sister, Sara of Shediac; a sister-in-law, Edna Thibodeau of Dieppe; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter whom she all cherished; a special friend, Émerise; several nieces and nephews, as well as her special pets, Samy and Jackie. She was predeceased by two sisters: Alma and Yvonne; three brothers: Camille, Phillip and Jean-Baptiste; a daughter in-law, Lina Gaudet (2001); a grandson, Jean-Francois LeBlanc (2009).
The family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297). Visiting hours Wednesday, May 1st from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm ONLY. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Henri R.C. Church, Grand-Barachois, Thursday, May 2nd at 10:30 am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In memory of Jeanne, a contribution to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
